 Overknees are just my thing. Besides they keep your leg and knees warm in winter.

Friends' Closets

 Sometimes rummaging around in friends' closet is the best shopping. This outfit was a sponsored by T. (dress) and Ch. (cardigan) and really spontaniously created. But somehow it fitted all together.

The Mill

Still couldn't decide on my picture problem and I am heading to Berlin for this weekend, so there won't be many outfit posts.

Stattmarkt 2012

Even if I am not living in the beloved capital anymore, I am still trying to follow the founding or developing of new places, events, etc. 

The other day a dear friend of mine told me about the Stattbad Wedding, which is used for something different as an indoor swimming pool after its closing. It is a space for art and culture; especially urban culture and contemporary art are functioning next to each other and together.

This year for the first time there will be STATTMARKT 2012. Their description says:

"It is an Art only edition, featuring designated artist project spaces combined with a commercial element. Each space will be individually curated presenting a twist to the traditional art market format & resulting in the most diverse array of artists to be showcased in STATTBAD Wedding to date."

Music Thursday: Snakadaktal - Dance Bear (Ta-ku Remix)

It's not monday, but it is music day! :D

In fact I am writing on an essay at the moment and listening to chillout and lounge music and Trip Hop. Those genres are the best background music to write something in my opinion.

Besides I am sorry for the lack of pictures at the moment, but my blogger picture space is empty and I have to decide on a picture upload side, which I will use in the future. Any suggestions?

This remix really works for me. I love the repetition of the words and the beat underlining them.

For your comparison, here is the original song, which is just half as good as the remix. But the voice of the female singer is awesome and really catchy.

Mühlenparty

 Knowing so many people from the first term is a blast. Especially, because so many of them are passionated with photography. 

Some time ago they made a surprise birthday party for the guy on the second picture and took polaroid pictures of the party guests. I share the ones with you, where you can find me.

Besides the first and last picture were taken with an expired film, that's why the pictures are so yellow. Gives them a vintage touch.

The photographers also managed to waste two films, because they put them inside wrong. We laughed our asses off.

Rheinischer Esel

 

 Today was one of those last and rare warm days, wich give you a last feeling of summer before hitting you in the face with winter days. I thought I'd use it to ride my bike and take some pictures along the "Rheinischer Esel" (Rhenish donkey).

"Rheinischer Esel" is the name of an old industrial railway track in the area of the Ruhrpott (Ruhr valley). After the closing of most of this area's industrial facilities (such as steelworks, coal mines, etc.) it was and is still being turned into a bycicle and pedestrian trail.

 This staircase is the way to the cellar, where we can keep our bycicles. It's somewhat annoying and dirty, but I thought'd make an interesting background for outfit pictures.

Wooden Boxes

 After popping in the furniture second hand store when passing, I came out with two wooden vegetable boxes for free. It looks like they are falling apart soon, but till then they are useful as a bookshelf.

Autumness

 Remember those times, when it was warm? 

I just came across those pictures I took while walking through the woods with my boyfriend in the last summer. Sometimes I miss summer, but somehow I embrace autumn, because I like the idea of staying inside, burn some candles and drink a lot of tea. Now that I got to know a bunch of new people I feel excited to visit them in their flats and drink some tea with them. I just love to the the inside of buildings. It is very inspiring for me!
