שנה טובה

Happy new year!

I nearly forgot it, but in Israel the new (religious) year started already. We celebrated it whilst having a meal with another house in our Patio. We sang songs, ate special food and (of course) dipped apples in honey to have a sweet beginning for a new sweet (and therefor good) year.

Maybe you didn't know, that on feasts jews and Israelis are wearing traditional white clothes, because it symbolises pureness. I love this tradition, because I love white.

Frohes neues Jahr!

Ich hätte es fast vergessen, aber in Israel hat das neue (religöse) Jahr schon angefangen. Wir begrüßten das neue Jahr, indem wir ein Festmahl in unserem Innenhof mit einem anderen Haus hatten. Wir haben Lieder gesungen, besonderes Essen und (natürlich) Äpfel in Honig getaucht gegessen, um so das neue Jahr süß einzuleiten damit es gut wird.

Ich wollte auch noch erklären, dass Juden und Israelis an Festtagen traditionell weiße Hemden und Klamotten tragen. Und zwar symbolisiert weiß Reinheit. Ich liebe diese Tradition, weil ich weiß liebe und alle Menschen dadurch sehr besonders aussehen.
Das Mädchen auf dem letzten Bild links ist meine Nachfolgerin Mai. Ich werde beide total vermissen!
